Colon cancer is highly preventable with regular screening.
Who Should Be Screened?
- Adults aged 50–74 at average risk.
- Earlier screening may be recommended if: Family history of colorectal cancer, or Inflammatory bowel disease.
How Is Screening Done?
FIT (Fecal Immunochemical Test)
- Completed at home
- Repeated every 2 years if normal
- If FIT is positive, colonoscopy is arranged for further evaluation.
